The University of Cadiz collaborates in the celebration of the Andalusia Snipe Cup

The Andalusia Cup of the Snipe class, II Anniversary Trophy of the Snipe Fleet of Cadiz, was held during the 10th and 11th of July in the waters of the Bay of Cadiz. This competition has had the collaboration of the Vice Rectorate of Culture of the University of Cadiz, through the Nautical Campus and the Sports Area, with the main objective of the university promotion of sailing sports.

The event was attended by fifty boats from different parts of Spain. A very changeable wind, with intensities between 12 and 18 knots, accompanied the fleet both days.

After the four races, two per day, the victory went to the boat crewed by the RCN of Madrid, formed by Fabio Bruggioni and Luca Rosa. Second place went to the boat crewed by Rafael Díaz Soria and Rocío Fernández Jordán, with the RC Mediterráneo de Málaga flag, which also won the Andalucía Cup title. The regional podium was completed by the snipes of Tito Galnares and Kiko Oses (CN Puerto Sherry and CD Flota Snipe de Cádiz) and Ángel Ballesteros and Sonia Hidalgo (CN Motril), respectively.
