The second round of the II Edition of the UCA eSports Virtual Regatta Tournament was held.

The Vice Rectorate of Culture through the Nautical Campus and the Sports Area within the UCA eSports program has developed the second regatta of the “II UCA 20/21 Virtual Regatta Tournament” through the Virtual Regatta application.

The event, held on Wednesday, April 14, was attended by a total of 12 participants who demonstrated their sailing skills. The regatta was very competitive with two first places for Juan Rodríguez Naves that did not allow him to win the regatta because he did not show up for the 3rd leg and had to retire in the fourth due to technical problems. The other two races were won by Daniel Reyes Baizán obtaining a 3rd place and by Javier Romero Barragán who won the regatta. Rubén Dumas Pérez also stood out with a second final place due to his regularity with a 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.

The final ranking was:

  • 1st place Javier Romero Barragán (Escuela de Ingenierías Marinas, Náutica y Radioelectrónica).
  • 2nd place Rubén Dumas Pérez (Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación).
  • 3th place Daniel Reyes Baizán (Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación).

After this race the general classification is very tight although with Javier Romero Barragán somewhat highlighted in the first position. The next races of the Tournament will be held on April 29th and will end on May 11th.    Registrations are open Here.
