Álvaro Rey, from the Faculty of Education Sciences, champion of the 20-21 edition of the UCA esport Virtual Regattas Tournament.

With the dispute of the fourth and last race of this edition, ends the II UCA 20/21 Virtual Regatta Tournament, organized by the Sports Area and the Nautical Campus of the Vice Rectorate of Culture, the virtual regatta held through the Virtual Regatta application on May 11, ended with the podium composed by Daniel Budia (School of Marine Engineering, Nautical and Radioelectronics) as champion and second place Alvaro Rey Calderon (Faculty of Education Sciences). This event marks the end of the tournament which began on March 12, with trials on April 14 and 21. After several changes in the first positions of the tournament, the final classification is as follows:

  • 1ª place Álvaro Rey Calderón (Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación) with 47 points.
  • 2ª place Antonio González Santamaría (Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación) with 41 points.
  • 3ª place Adam Moudni (Escuela de Ingenierías Marinas, Náutica y Radioelectrónica) with 36 points.

The regularity in the different races has been what has weighed the most in the final classification. Adam Moudni, who despite having two victories in the races of March 12 and April 29, could only finish in third place.

The Vice Rectorate for Culture congratulates all the participants and winners of these virtual regattas, which have been incorporated into the program of competitions of the Sports Area as a training complement to the on-site regattas of the Nautical Campus of the University of Cadiz.
